Islam and unity of religions

Hey everyone,

This blog is going to be dedicated to discussing the Quran and Islam and Muslims alike. What I'll usually do is post a verse of the Quran, and discuss it. You can join in the discussion of course, through the comments.

The first verse will be:

The believers, the Jews, the
Christians, and the Sabaeans—
all those who believe in God and
the Last Day and do good
deeds—will be rewarded by their
Lord; they shall have no fear, nor
shall they grieve.

From this verse, which comes from the chapter called 'The Heifer', we can quickly deduce the fact that Islam, in its nature, is welcoming to other religions, and that Muslims ought to believe that Christians and Jews share equal treatment in the worldly life, and in the hereafter. The Muslims who say things such as "The Jews are the eternal enemies of Islam" are clearly not abiding by the teachings of the Quran. And by that I say and admit, that many Muslims do not practice Islam correctly.

In short, radical Islamic behaviour ought to be blamed on Muslims rather than Islam itself.

That's all for now.

With love,
Tareq
